Regular Courses

Building the capacities of policy-makers, technical practitioners and researchers in the forestry sector can help contribute to the sustainable management of forests to address climate change and societal challenges.

AFoCO’s regular training courses are intended to strengthen the capacities of member countries by enhancing knowledge and understanding of forest management and providing greater access to advanced technologies. Our goal is to empower them to deal with pressing forestry issues in the region and establish networks among member countries to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experiences. All training courses have been implemented at the AFoCO Regional Education and Training Center (RETC) since it began operations in 2018.  In line with its Strategic Priorities (2019-2023), AFoCO focuses on the implementation of regular training courses based on its 3 core training areas.
