AFoCO Regular Training Course on “Lessons Learned from the National Reforestation Experiences of the Republic of Korea with Focus on Reforestation and Food Security” was held on 19 – 23 February 2019 at the AFoCO RETC, Yangon, Myanmar.
A total of 22 participants from 10 AFoCO Member Countries shared the best practices on policy and management of national reforestation efforts of Korea with focus on reforestation and food security issues, and discussed challenges and lessons learned from the previous reforestation experiences and guide on-going and future reforestation efforts to Asian countries to develop their own reforestation model during the training course. All participants actively participated in all activities including lectures, presentations, field trip and cultural exchange.
