Asia Pacific Forestry Week 2019

Asia-Pacific Forestry Week (APFW) is an event attached to the Asia-Pacific Forestry Commission (APFC) of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). Hosted by the government of the Republic of Korea, the APFW 2019 will be held in Incheon, Korea on 17-21 June 2019 under the theme “Forests for Peace and Well-being”.

STREAM 1:“Restoring Our Forests and Landscapes”, with its co-stream leader agencies, the Asian Forest Cooperation Organization (AFoCO), the Asia-Pacific Network for Sustainable Forest Management and Rehabilitation (APFNet) and the Pacific Community (SPC), will provide a platform for players in the region to share insights, explore solutions and innovations, build collaborations, and expand their networks in forest restoration. The stream will not only discuss different restoration focuses and approaches but also explore the linkages between restoration efforts and financing and investment opportunities, including the involvement of the private sector.
