The Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Asian Forest Cooperation Organization (AFoCO) mutually agreed to collaborate for this year’s Seoul International Garden Show. AFoCO Garden will be showcased as a permanent garden within the “Together Zone” at the Boramae Park.
The AFoCO Garden will be a special space that will feature the characteristics of 17 member countries of AFoCO with the main theme of sustainable forestry and environmental protection. In particular, it will convey the message that collective efforts are needed to conserve Asia’s forest ecosystems, which are threatened by climate change and human activities.
Seoul Metropolitan City and AFoCO will continue to explore practical ways to jointly tackle climate change issues and implement sustainable forest management through promoting engagement of the general public.
