AFoCO Scholars graduate from Dongguk University and Seoul National University

 

We are proud to congratulate Ms. Ma. Carmina M. Canua from the Philippines, on the successful completion of her studies! Ms. Canua commenced her academic journey in the Spring of 2018 and graduated from Dongguk University with a Master’s Degree in Biological and Environment Science. A Certificate Award Ceremony was held in the Secretariat on 13 February to celebrate her achievement. She will return to the Philippines to continue her career as a government officer at the Forest Management Bureau and looks forward to contributing her knowledge and skills to develop plans, programs and policies for the sustainable management of forests and natural resources in the Philippines.

We are also proud to congratulate another of our scholars, Mr. Tran Hai Long from Viet Nam, who graduated from Seoul National University with a Master’s Degree in Forest Environmental Science.
(Mr. Tran was unable to attend the Certificate Award Ceremony.)

AFoCO Landmark Scholarships finance government officials from ASEAN Member states to study for a graduate degree in the field of forestry in the Republic of Korea. The Landmark Scholarship Program is a nomination-based scholarship, which accepts high-caliber applicants who have been nominated by Focal Officials of participating countries of the Program.
