On 13 December 2019, 60 undergraduate students from the University of Forestry and Environmental Science (UFES) visited the AFoCO Regional Education and Training Center (RETC) in Myanmar. During their visit, they were introduced to AFoCO and the AFoCO RETC’s programs and projects. They also learned about the establishment of the AFoCO Experimental Forest. The presentations were followed by a question and answer session on the Landmark Program, future cooperative initiatives with the UFES, the sustainability of funding mechanisms for the RETC and its activities. The students also went on a tour of the RETC’s facilities.
