Training of Trainers for Forest Fire Management in Dryland

Training of Trainers for Forest Fire Management in Dryland 18 to 29 August 2025 Kolsai Kolderi, State National Park, Almaty Region, Kazakhstan. Co-organized by AFoCO, the Committee of Forestry and Wildlife of Kazakhstan, and the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, this program aims to strengthen regional fire response capacity and climate resilience through knowledge sharing and hands-on training. Together with professional trainers from Korea forest service, Civil Protection Attaché and Landes district fire fighters. Total 23 participants from Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Bhutan, and India. The training combined theoretical knowledge from fire behavior analysis to the use of satellite systems and UAVs with practical strategies tailored to dryland ecosystems.
