On 17 April 2024, the side event of the 10th Session of the Assembly marked a significant milestone in the journey towards sustainable agroforestry! The event celebrated successful payment of Carbon Removal Units to the dedicated farmers in Kyrgyzstan, who have played an integral role in our agroforestry project.
This achievement not only honors the hard work of the farmers but also underscores our commitment to fostering a greener Asia. The AFoCO collaborated with the Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources, and Processing Industry, along with the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic, and ACORN Rabobank in this endeavor.
As we celebrate this milestone, the 4 institutions also affirmed their dedication to cultivating a sustainable world through our efforts in growing a greener Asia. the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was officially signed to upscale the agroforestry project in Kyrgyzstan, marking a new chapter in the partnership.
This strategic alliance promises to elevate the efforts and amplify our impact, taking sustainable agroforestry to new heights. Together, the four parties are committed to addressing environmental challenges and advancing the shared vision for a healthier planet.
