About FAAF

The Friends of Asia and Asian Forests (FAAF) is an initiative of the Asian Forest Cooperation Organization (AFoCO) in collaboration of private sector to promote sustainable development and climate solutions through forest-based actions in Asia.

FAAF serves as a platform that brings together corporate and other leaders to spearhead collective action toward achieving Net Zero across Asia and advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Reducing annual carbon footprint by one megaton in Asia through forest ecosystem restoration and conservation, while helping to stabilize local livelihood

Creating positive impact and contribute to the Sustainable development Goals (SDGs) through activities that align the interests of participating stakeholders with the needs of Asian countries

Knowledge Sharing

FAAF promotes knowledge sharing and partnership building through regular platforms and communication.

FAAF Forum & Partners Dialogue, an annual event that brings together stakeholders to exchange insights and strengthen collaboration

FAAF Newsletter provides updates on forest and climate change trends to partners.

CAMP

Climate Action Match-Making Platform (CAMP) is an online marketplace and information center to support FAAF network by connecting partners and projects under the FAAF ecosystem. CAMP aims to mobilize and diversify funding sources, particularly from the private sector and external stakeholders, with a focus on nature-based climate action projects.

Ecosystem restoration is a complex task and transcends across sectors. AFoCO is proud to be a Supporting Partner of the United Nations Decade on Ecosystem Restoration (UN Decade). As a part of #GenerationRestoration, AFoCO will join other international and civil organizations in building evidence-based recommendations for the UN Decade and reach out into new sectors and communities.
