The Secretariat has been organizing the Annual Technical Workshop (ATW) for Project Management and Performance Review since 2020. The purpose of the Workshop is to revisit the current year’s achievements/progress by reflecting and sharing lessons-learned, successful cases/practices, as well as project development ideas (for potential in-country or regional projects) among the Implementing Agencies (IAs). This year, the ATW will be conducted on April 29. 2022, as part of the pre-congress events preluding the XV World Forestry Congress (WFC) from May 2-6, 2022 in Seoul, Republic of Korea.

The core of discussions will be on the 2021-2022 performance review of completed and on-going projects to be presented by the Secretariat and respective Project Managers along with other topics related to project development opportunities. The workshop proceedings will be produced and shared among the participants, including the summary and recommendations from the workshop.

The ATW will also serve as a venue to support the attendance and participation of the Member Countries in AFoCO led sessions and events at the XV WFC including opportunities to interact and build stronger networks with existing and potential partners, donors and supporters of Sustainable Forest Management (SFM) and related international forest goals and commitments worldwide. Forest practitioners of AFoCO need to be exposed to recent and important developments in the Forestry Sector while achieving wider presence in Asia and the rest of the world for greater synergy and inclusive progressive pathways.
