Kazakhstan’s reforestation efforts are constrained by harsh climatic conditions and limited access to high-quality planting materials. The project established a mechanized nursery complex capable of producing approximately 1.5 million closed-root-system seedlings annually, developed 25 hectares of protective forest plantations, and trained more than 150 stakeholders. It provides a scalable, technology-driven model for climate-resilient reforestation and could position Kazakhstan as a regional knowledge hub for modern nursery management in Central Asia.
