Summary

This policy brief provides a summary of an expert discussion forum convened on “Forestry in NDCs of Asia-Pacific countries: 2020 vision” on 17 June 2019, as part of the 2019 Asia-Pacific Forestry Week. Jointly organized by FAO, Green Climate Fund (GCF), Asian Forest Cooperation Organization (AFoCO), the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR), RECOFTC and GIZ, the forum invited consultations from eleven regional experts on forest sector’s role in visualizing climate goals set under the Paris Agreement and individual NDCs of the countries in Asia and the Pacific.
